Living by Revelation

Proverbs 29:18. Without a prophetic vision, the people throw off all restraint; but he who keeps Torah is happy.

The world, all of humanity operates and functions on vision. Children of God, those who call upon the God of Israel live by revelation. The worlds vision seeks grandiose, lofty achievements and purposes such as the World’s tallest buildings in Dubai, the largest dam ever built in China, the longest bridge in the world also built in China, the world's tallest roller coaster etc........People dream and cast vision for the greatest, most satisfying things to invest their time in and do great works in our world.  Institutions establish goals and objectives, they raise funds, they organize themselves to reach their goals.  Everything from the Red Cross, S.P.C.A. and Feed the Worlds Hungry charitable organizations to the NFL or NBA who build massive stadiums that hold tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands of people!  These are the world’s visions and how it operates.

God's people live, they function, or should function in a radically different way.  Those who call upon the name of the Lord arrange their lives based upon Revelation from God and as we’ve learned: “Na'aseh v’nishma”, we do so whether we understand it or not.  As I've shared before, God does not nor will He ask your opinion regarding what is best and or what His will is for your future, family, nation, or our worlds.  He already knows and has a plan.  What He does do is get our attention and give us revelation regarding what that plan is.  That revelation contains our part in His overall plan, it's generally not a revelation of the overall plan.  He desires to reveal what's on His heart and what His will is.  It’s imperative for us to be attentive and hear from God because His thoughts and our thoughts aren't the same.

Isaiah 55:8-9.  "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways," says ADONAI. 9 "As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I've heard many teachings over the years regarding this scripture that attempt to diminish the piety and Holiness of God in such a fashion as to lower God to our level of conscious and though which is impossible.  The actual Hebrew for thoughts is "machshevotay" whose root word is Devarim, "Words" so another permutation of this scripture is the God's thought’s and our thoughts are not the same which is 100% true! The result here is that when those who call upon the name of the Lord do not base their lives upon God's revelations, God's words they " throw off all restraint" as Proverbs 29:18 states.

II Peter 1:19. Yes, we have the prophetic Word made very certain. You will do well to pay attention to it as to a light shining in a dark, murky place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.

The issue is that many, maybe even most Believers, those who claim to be children of God do what they think is right according to their own eye.  They set goals, make decisions, obtain education, cast vision, get married, have children, get divorced, buy houses they can't afford, set a life agenda, even worship God in a manner that is estranged from God and His will, as far as East is from the west are their lives from the Kingdom yet they have the "Chutzpah", the audacity to pray to God and ask Him to bless and prosper their efforts and endeavors.  Many people then become angry at God when their answer is silence.  There is only one way for you to know God's will for you, your family and your life! A revelation from God.  The only way to get a revelation from God is seek Him and ask Him!  You cannot discern, discover, or know God's will for you by yourself.  When you do hear from God there is only one answer: “Na'aseh v’nishma”, I will do and obey is your immediate reply, obedience is the start of the revelation of God's will for your life.

Now, this brings us to another issue, Hearing God's voice.  So many do not know what this is or how to do it.  This is the single most important issue in prophetic revelation.  I've said this many, many times.  Most people today who are "operating in the prophetic" are not operating in the prophetic.  They may have discernment but are not actually in receipt of prophetic words from God.  How do we know?  God told us in His word:

Deuteronomy 13:1-3. "If a prophet or someone who gets messages while dreaming arises among you and he gives you a sign or wonder, 2 and the sign or wonder comes about as he predicted when he said, 'Let's follow other gods, which you have not known; and let us serve them,' 3 you are not to listen to what that prophet or dreamer says. For ADONAI your God is testing you, in order to find out whether you really do love ADONAI your God with all your heart and being.

Oh wow, this is another venue for Love and Loving God.  If a sign or wonder is predicated and associated with worship of some other god you must know that it is a test of your love and obedience for God! And there is more:

Deuteronomy 18:20-22. "'But if a prophet presumptuously speaks a word in my name which I didn't order him to say, or if he speaks in the name of other gods, then that prophet must die.' 21 You may be wondering, 'How are we to know if a word has not been spoken by ADONAI?' 22 When a prophet speaks in the name of ADONAI, and the prediction does not come true -that is, the word is not fulfilled -then ADONAI did not speak that word. The prophet who said it spoke presumptuously; you have nothing to fear from him.

If that word doesn't come to pass it's not from God.  There is an unhealthy complacency in the body regarding this.  God didn't say well, if they are 80% right that's good enough, or even 95% correct.  God said if they speak something from God and it doesn't come to pass it's not from Him!!!!!  Yeshua confirmed this:

Matthew 7:15-16. "Beware of the false prophets! They come to you wearing sheep's clothing, but underneath they are hungry wolves! 16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Can people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?

You'll know them by their fruit-did the prophecy come to pass or not!  So why is there so much false prophecy, so much "throwing off of restraint" in our day today?  Why are people not hearing from God?  Why are people apostatizing from the Kingdom of Heaven?  They don't know Him!  Look at His Son, Yeshua’s character and actions:

Mark 1:35. Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Yeshua got up, left, went away to a lonely spot and stayed there praying.

Luke 3:21 While all the people were being immersed, Yeshua too was immersed. As he was praying, heaven was opened;

Luke 9:18 Once when Yeshua was praying in private, his talmidim were with him; and he asked them, "Who are the crowds saying I am?"

Luke 9:29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed; and his clothing became gleaming white.

Luke 11:1 One time Yeshua was in a certain place praying. As he finished, one of the talmidim said to him, "Sir, teach us to pray, just as Yochanan taught his talmidim."
Luke 18:1 Then Yeshua told his talmidim a parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart.

Luke 22:41-46.  He went about a stone's throw away from them, kneeled down and prayed, 42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, let not my will but yours be done." 43 There appeared to him an angel from heaven giving him strength, 44 and in great anguish he prayed more intensely, so that his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. 45 On rising from prayer and coming to the talmidim, he found them sleeping because of their grief. 46 He said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you won't be put to the test!"

I could go on, but you get the picture here!  It was common knowledge and practice for the Talmidim to find Yeshua in prayer.  When they were looking for Him or needed Him they knew to go to His place of prayer. Every important, critical juncture in Yeshua's life we see Him in prayer!  Every time Yeshua faced an important and critical decision He prayed!!!!!  If the Son of God prayed continuously and daily, if He prayed an entire evening to hear from His Father how much time in prayer will it take in prayer for you to ascertain and determine God's will and agenda for you and your life?  Yeshua was continuously surrounded by crowds and multitudes.  Yeshua dealt with as many and even more distractions as we do.  He knew that He must seek quiet time and hear from God to be able to do what He did!  Yeshua had numerous influences tugging at His heart strings.  His Talmidim wanted Him to go to the crowds:

Mark 1:35-37.  Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Yeshua got up, left, went away to a lonely spot and stayed there praying. 36 But Shim`on and those with him went after him; 37 and when they found him, they said, "Everybody is looking for you."

There was a discussion among the crowd of making Yeshua King, they wanted Him to make a bid for president!!:

John 6:15. Yeshua knew that they were on the point of coming and seizing him, in order to make him king; so he went back to the hills again. This time he went by himself.

Yeshua Had a revelation that this was happening.  Even HaSatan was distracting Yeshua by trying to get Him to compromise the word:

Matthew 4:3-10. The Tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, order these stones to become bread." 4 But he answered, "The Tanakh says, `Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of ADONAI'" 5 Then the Adversary took him to the holy city and set him on the highest point of the Temple. 6 "If you are the Son of God," he said, "jump! For the Tanakh says, `He will order his angels to be responsible for you. . . . They will support you with their hands, so that you will not hurt your feet on the stones.'" 7 Yeshua replied to him, "But it also says, `Do not put ADONAI your God to the test.'" 8 Once more, the Adversary took him up to the summit of a very high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in all their glory, 9 and said to him, "All this I will give you if you will bow down and worship me." 10 "Away with you, Satan!" Yeshua told him, "For the Tanakh says, `Worship ADONAI your God, and serve only him.'"
I have to pause here because this is a primary and fundamental reason that people don't hear from God, they have compromised the word and their walk with God.  HaSatan was attempting to compromise Yeshua’s mission and God's word.  Yeshua refused to allow compromise into His life!

Psalms 119:2-3. (NLT)  Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. 3 They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.

Distractions are one thing; compromising is a choice that we make with both the word and how we live our lives.  Compromise in Hebrew is "Peshar'ah" whose root is pesheet which means to be bankrupt, defect, flawed, even delinquent.  To compromise is to give way or give in to evil and unrighteousness. If you are an unhappy person there is most likely compromise in your life.  HAPPY are those who obey God's decree's and Mitzvah's!  There can be absolutely no compromise in the Kingdom of God.

Proverbs 25:26. (AMP) Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring Is a righteous man who yields and compromises his integrity before the wicked.
The Body of Messiah has muddied the waters through compromise.  There is compromise with Sexual dysfunction and sin, compromise with homosexuality, compromise with obedience to God's word, compromise in our relationship with each other, compromise with God, and compromise in prayer.

II Corinthians 6:14. Do not yoke yourselves together in a team with unbelievers. For how can righteousness and lawlessness be partners? What fellowship does light have with darkness?

In order to do what we see our Father in heaven doing we must be able to see our Father in heaven which as we've just witnessed through Yeshua; it’s done in prayer.  Pray in Hebrew is palal or prayer is "Tephillah", same root word as Praise "Hallel".   “He will pray for you.” as found in Genesis 7:20 in Hebrew, veyit'palel, all are from the verb palal-verb to do something with God.  It’s the same verb that is used to describe Hannah’s prayer (I Samuel 1:10) for a barren womb to open; palal Elisha’s prayer that raised the dead boy to life (II Kings 4:33); Palao, Daniel’s prayer for the sins of Israel (Daniel 9:4). Palal Yeshua prayed in John 11 before raising Lazarus from the dead!   Every supernatural move of God in human history began with prayer! The root of Palal literally means to besiege, to lay siege to God, to press into Him unrelentingly and unceasingly.

Matthew 21:22. In other words, you will receive everything you ask for in prayer, no matter what it is, provided you have trust."

You know I seek to find the power, the Spirit, and truth that is written throughout the scriptures! We have the same available to us today, we can see what our Father in heaven is doing, we can raise the dead, we can heal the sick, we can change our world through this heavenly power but we must seek it.  It must be collective and it must be done with passion! Remember what happens in Revelation to the luke-warm? Remove the distractions and compromise to hear God!

Luke 11:9-10.  "Moreover, I myself say to you: keep asking, and it will be given to you; keep seeking, and you will find; keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who goes on asking receives; and he who goes on seeking finds; and to him who continues knocking, the door will be opened.

I’m praying for you to increase in divine, supernatural revelation!

Blessings Shalom,
