Shalom Mishpocha,
Happy New Year! We have entered into the Gregorian Calendar year of 2025. The 1st of Nisan (the Biblical New Year) begins at sunset, Saturday March 20th, 2025, beginning the year 5785. January is the first month of the year, named after Janus, the Roman god [EC1] of beginnings and transitions, who had two faces looking at the past and the future. The months of January and February were not originally in the ancient Roman calendar as the winter months were considered dormant, both in terms of agriculture and in terms of making war. This was a time of peace. Until 450 BCE, the Roman calendar was 10 months, beginning in March (Martius), due to the March Equinox. Remember, March was named for “Mars,” the god of War who was also an agricultural guardian. As the war rages on in Gaza please continue to pray that all the Israeli hostages be released and that Israel will be victorious in destroying Hamas!
The year 2025/5785 will be a birthing moment for the One New Man/Humanity movement. In the most basic terms, transformation represents a season of change in which we are reformed, reshaped, or repositioned, and renewed. We can expect to continue to walk out a season of transition in the year ahead as we are witnessing the unfolding of God’s plan. Do not fear the shaking and sifting the Lord is allowing during this transition season. It’s necessary to establish proper boundaries, proper alignment, expose demonic mindsets, agendas, lying spirits, and motivations that hinder our mandate for a united, undivided “One New Humanity”. Where Jew and Gentile are one in Messiah!
Psalm 29:3-4. The voice of ADONAI is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, ADONAI over rushing waters, 4 the voice of ADONAI in power, the voice of ADONAI in splendor
Five in Hebrew is “Hey” which represents divine breath, revelation, and light. It represents God’s creative power! Hey is the root of Peh, mouth, the mouth/voice of God! The coming New Year we will experience Adonai’s voice over the Waters: the God of Glory Thunder, and the breath of God. A time of great confluence in the Moves in the Spirit, where two streams (Jew and Gentile) become one! The spirit realm will be mirrored in the physical realm. It will be a time of great testing in this season as God thunders. Foundational weaknesses and falsehoods will be tested, refining will occur. Those things not of God shall be removed. However, those whose foundations are built upon Yeshua will become places of refuge, strong towers where many will enter in and be saved. When God speaks over the waters, when He thunders over the rushing water, He releases His spirit of revelation with the ability to receive and understand. In 2025/5785 the winds of change are released for radical transformation within the Greater Body of Messiah! Be ready!
Thursday January 9th, 2025, is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day or L.E.A.D. It is a day to express our gratitude to our police officers for all their hard work and for protecting the community. Those who join the police put their lives on the line every day and are often not appreciated enough. Pay for their meal if you see them at a restaurant or purchase food gift cards [EC4] to give to our men and woman in blue! They will appreciate it! Thank you to all of our law enforcement for protecting us every day!
Monday, January 20th, 2025, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed). This holiday is held on the third Monday in January and honors the principles of this civil rights leader and Nobel Prize Winner dedicated to nonviolence. King also organized and led marches for the right to vote, desegregation, and labor rights in addition to basic civil rights. The passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 are attributed, in part, to the works of Dr. King.
In Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” Speech he spoke to this intentionality of relationship. He said: “Black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands”. Dr. King is speaking to Racial reconciliation, Jew and Gentile reconciliation, and reconciliation of the division within the greater body of Messiah! The One New Humanity of Ephesians 2:15 speaks directly to these divisions! We are all, regardless of color or culture, members of the human race! The only two peoples group Adonai sees are Jew and Gentile! This separation so grieved Him that He sent His Son Yeshua to die to make us One New Humanity! To be Echad!
International Holocaust Remembrance Day is an important day to remember the atrocities of the genocide carried out against Jewish people and other marginalized groups during WWII by Nazi Germany. This year, Holocaust Remembrance Day is on Jan. 27, 2025. As we continue to suffer rising, rabid antisemitism, anti-Israel sentiment we must remember what happened 85 years ago in Germany. We must remember what happened in Israel on October 7th, 2023. Never again is now! Am Israel Chai!
Blessings and Shalom!
